UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital vs. CareSource, 8th District No. 106151, 2018-Ohio-2839: successfully briefed and argued that because CareSource was not a signatory to the facility participation agreement between client and United HealthCare, arbitration could not be compelled on a coverage dispute between CareSource and United HealthCare and instead the court could determine the matter based on the certificate of coverage.

Reo v. University Hospitals Health Systems, 11th District No. 2018-L-110, 2019-Ohio-1411: successfully briefed and argued that the trial court’s disqualification of patients’ counsel without a hearing was appropriate where the attorney was the patients’ husband and son respectively and had made himself a necessary witness in the matter.
